Information: Tricot Lining Fabric (Ban-Lon) Dark Beige is a knitted fabric with the following properties: smooth, soft, supple, light weight and stretchable in width. The fabric is made of 100% anti-static polyester, but feels less synthetic like charmeuse stretch lining. Ban-lon lining feels soft and more like a tricot fabric. If you want to assess the quality and/or color, it is possible to order a separate sample.
Polyester is the most common fabric that can be found in stores for use as a lining fabric because of its many good properties, such as colorfast, dimensionally stable, wear-resistant, light and easy to clean. Suitable for stretch fabrics such as tricot fabrics and also very suitable as a lining fabric under a voile or thin fabric. In addition to stretch lining, we also have non-stretch lining fabrics such acetate and the quilted lining.
Is the outer material of your project sturdy enough? Or is the surface rough and you can't move comfortably in it? Does the fabric you use shine through? Then lining fabric is the solution. A lining fabric not only gives that little bit extra for a nice finish, but has a number of properties that make the fabric so well suited as a lining.
